Services
At Still Waters Counseling & Brainspotting, we offer a compassionate space for women to slow down, breathe deeply, and begin the journey toward healing. Rooted in faith and grounded in evidence-based practices, our services are designed to support the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
Whether you’re navigating the aftermath of trauma, wrestling with anxiety or overwhelm, or simply feeling stuck, you don’t have to carry it alone. We specialize in working with women through a trauma-informed, Christian lens, offering individualized care that honors your unique story and values. Our services include:

Individual Therapy
Individual therapy provides a safe, compassionate space where your story is heard and valued. Together, we’ll explore the challenges you’re facing. Grounded in faith and evidence-based approaches, therapy is a collaborative journey toward healing, clarity, and restoration. You don’t have to walk this path alone. In person and virtual sessions are available.

Brainspotting
Brainspotting is a powerful therapeutic technique that helps individuals access and process trauma, emotional pain, and distressing experiences. By identifying specific eye positions linked to unresolved feelings, Brainspotting allows for deep emotional processing and healing. Nature Therapy/Walk & Talk Therapy
Sometimes, healing comes more naturally when we step outside. Walk-and-talk therapy combines traditional counseling with movement and nature, offering a more relaxed, grounded setting to process life’s struggles. Whether we stroll through a quiet trail or sit beneath a tree, nature therapy can reduce anxiety, improve mood, and help you connect more deeply—with yourself, God, and the world around you. I like to think of it as therapy in motion.

Trauma Conscious Yoga Method
Trauma Conscious Yoga Method (TCYM) is a supportive, somatic-based practice designed to help women reconnect with their bodies in a safe, empowering, and compassionate space.
Many women who have experienced trauma carry the effects not just in their minds, but in their bodies. TCYM is a gentle approach to yoga that honors this reality. It integrates trauma-informed principles, mindfulness, and neuroscience to help regulate the nervous system and restore a sense of internal safety in the body.

Meet Your Therapist
Hello there! I’m Libby, and whether you expected to be here or not, I’m truly glad you’ve arrived. I deeply value relationships and human connection in my everyday life, so in my practice I strive to meet my clients exactly where they are and walk alongside them on their journey.
Life can be overwhelming and challenging at times. We often find ourselves stuck in suffering and pain, but it doesn’t have to remain that way. Counseling offers a safe space to uncover the connections between the past and present, allowing you to discover and release the unhealthy patterns and old memories that keep you feeling trapped. It can help you develop self-compassion and tap into the resilience that dwells within each of us.
I believe that everyone deserves a safe and healing environment to work through life’s difficulties. We all need extra support as we navigate life’s challenges. Having walked through my own struggles, it is truly my honor to walk with my clients on their journeys.
I have experience working with a diverse range of clients facing various issues, including anxiety and panic, depression, trauma, grief and loss, maternal, prenatal, and infertility concerns, relationship challenges, body image/ eating disorders, low self-worth, chronic pain, and mental barriers in sports performance. I enjoy working with women of all ages, as well as athletes looking to overcome obstacles that hinder their performance.
My approach is collaborative and relational, with the main goal of empowering clients to become the authors of their own lives. I strive to be down-to-earth, practical, empathetic, and supportive. I often tell clients "I am WITH you and FOR you." I utilize a mind-body approach; I believe that our mental health is closely intertwined with our physical health. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Certified in Brainspotting, Certified Trauma Conscious Yoga Method teacher (TCYM) and trained in perinatal mental health.
Outside of counseling, you can find me spending quality time with my husband, our two kids, and our big spoiled goldador named George Banks. I am passionate about college sports- especially my beloved Arkansas Razorbacks. On the weekends you can usually find me watching ESPN. I enjoy all things active and sports, especially if it connects me with nature. I like to sing, and on some Sundays, you can find me leading worship at our church.
